FENG SHUI LIFESTYLE

Feng shui lifestyle , is about naturally aligning your environment to maximize the  potential in all facets of your life.  It’s a lifestyle based on neutralizing the negative energy and enhancing the space to make it an environment that will easily support your efforts for a happier life.. A natural system, without drugs or therapy to reduce the negative energy that makes us argue, become stressed, unproductive, or unhealthy.

As we move towards “green design”, living in a toxic free environment , the principles of traditional Feng Shui work seamlessly to help create this healthy space for your mind and body.  Living with feng shui is basically allowing yourself to flow with the qi of the building.

As energy “qi” moves , we must also adjust our environment to live in balance in this moving qi. Our bodies are in a constant state of change as is the “qi” that surrounds us. By making these adjustments we can live in environment of change with balance, using that same force to support our efforts. The cycle of time and the movement of the moon has an effect on our bodies, and this is supported by the behavior seen in emergency rooms in hospitals and police stations during a full moon. The combination of energy, in a particular direction, during a particular time period will change our mental and physical behavior causing different reactions in our health, relationships, creativity and productivity.

Feng shui is an analysis of a building/environment and through a mathematical calculation of time and direction can map and identify this moving “qi”.  Just as we grow older and must supplement our bodies with additional vitamins or hormones , a building must use remedies to keep the qi supportive to the occupants.  We look at several factors in the assessment of a balanced building- outside surrounding environment/terrain, architectural design , flow of the “qi”throughout the building, light, air quality, balance in colors and flow of furnishings, placement of key rooms, occupants health and relationships.

Natural remedies are used to create balance, only water, wood, fire, earth or metal .These remedies are most effective in their original state to interact with the qi. The use of colors can be used in some cases but may not be as effective. Traditional Feng shui is void of superstitions, religion or lucky charms. A space that has been balanced for Feng Shui should have remedies that blend naturally into the décor and are not obvious.
